A Message of Condolence

Long time American League umpire and Supervisor, and Wendelstedt graduate, Marty Springstead, has passed away at the age of 74. He was a terrific umpire and a tremendous man. He is directly resposible for the careers of so many current MLB umpires. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

At #26, our State of Florida Education License is one of the oldest for all institutions, including Major Universities, within the state. • 100% of the Wendelstedt Graduates sent to PBUC were called for placement in professional baseball, as well as our entire school reserve list! More of our umpires are placed in positions at the highest levels than any other program in history.
