Whats New:

A New Look

The Class of 2015 will experience a new look when attending umpire school. Facility and location changes have been made, as well as the addition of a number of new technologies to improve the student learning environment. After compiling the requests of past students, we have made changes that we expect will only improve our already premier status in the umpire training world. The primary addition includes an indoor training facility. This allows us to continue training even when that Florida weather sets in. Some of those changes were slowly implemented this year, but more are to come. We look forward to seeing you there!

International Students Wanted

We are the only program offering international students the ability to attend umpire school and vie for a position in professional baseball. As a world umpire training provider, we are classified as an M-1 from the Department of State and INS. International students applying for enrollment with our program will be provided an I-20 Visa certificate. This process can take up to three months to process, so please be certain to get in your enrollment to us ASAP.

In the News and Around the Bases:

Congratulations to MLB umpire and former staff member Mike Winters on being chosen as the 2014 Wendelstedt Umpire of the Year. Mike gave a heart felt speech at the banquet held at the Hilton Daytona Beach. Mike has had an extremely decorated umpire career and what a pleasure to be able to honor him with such an award. Thanks for coming back to Daytona Beach and being such a great asset to our school. We are proud to say Mike Winters is a Wendelstedt Umpire School graduate!

Congratulations to our Gerry Davis Sports "Golden Mask Award Winners". Every year we select students who are key contributors to the class through their hard work and dedication to the course. These are the students that make the class come to together and were also a joy for the staff to work with on a daily basis.
